Got One Hour to Learn How to Come Up With Great Big Ideas? Then Read On…

What's the one thing that makes or breaks your copy?

Heck, you've already got it...

Its the idea behind it.

And that's why I'm bringing up James W. Young's book, A Technique for Producing Ideas.

I'll be honest, I ordered this book about a year ago (Amazon 1-click...) and just let it sit on my shelf. That is, until yesterday.

And I feel stupid for not reading it sooner.

Why? Firstly because its only 28 bloody pages long!

I couldn't sit down for 30 minutes and read this book I spent $11/£7 on! (Maybe it's true what they say about millennials...)

And secondly, because it so elegantly describes a step-by-step process to formulate "Big Ideas"...

  1. Gather raw materials.
  2. Absorb and digest those raw materials.
  3. Let it set in your subconscious mind.
  4. And by the power of grey skull! You've got your big idea.
  5. Expose your idea to the "real world" and shape it into what you need it to be.

Simple, right?

Powerful too!

Even if this 5 step process is what you already do, the book is worth a read. You're going to find a trick in there that'll make you more effective.

For me? I'm getting some index cards to jot down every idea I have (no matter how incomplete) and organising my thoughts that way, rather with Google Docs.

Its a must-read.

Keep winning,
